About us

Ebony Gardens began as a piece of well-kept land on the Meru–Maua Road and grew into something people travel for.

A venue and an event management team, run by the same people, on the same grounds.

Our story

How the gardens became a venue

The gardens came first. Mature trees, cut lawns, and the kind of quiet that makes people lower their voices when they walk in. Families started asking to hold things here — a dowry ceremony, a graduation lunch, a wedding — and it became clear that a beautiful space on its own was only half of what they needed.

The other half was everything around it. Someone to build the tent and light it properly. Someone to brief the caterer, hold the run sheet, and chase the supplier who hasn't arrived. So we built that side of the business too, and today Ebony Gardens is both a venue and a full event management team.

We are based in Meru and we work across the region. Most of our clients find us because someone they know was a guest at something we ran.

What we hold to

Four things we don't compromise on

The grounds come first

The gardens are the reason people choose us. They are maintained year-round, not just before a booking.

One team, one number

Venue and planning under one roof means fewer people to chase and nobody passing blame between suppliers.

Honest scoping

We would rather tell you early that something won't work than discover it on the day. Quotes are itemised and we hold to them.

Local, and proud of it

Meru suppliers, Meru crew, and a standard we would be happy to be judged on anywhere.
